After graduating in 2018 from Boston College with a Bachelor's in International Studies in German Studies, she was awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship and moved to Germany to teach English to German secondary school students in Chemnitz and Leipzig. Apart from teaching, she also volunteered with the US Consulate's MeetUS program and travelled around Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt to give presentations on American life to German teenagers. These experiences, combined with her love for cultural studies, led her to pursue a master's in American studies. She is particularly interested in transatlantic understandings of Blackness in the 21st century. She hopes to pursue a career in German-American relations.
