In 2014, I received my bachelor’s degree in American studies with a minor in political science from Leipzig University. When writing my BA thesis about the news coverage of the NSA scandal, I became interested in the transatlantic relationship between the US and Germany and how it is represented in the media. My main research focuses on foreign politics of both countries and I will continue concentrating on this field in my graduate studies at ASL. Besides doing research in the field of American politics, I am a freelance journalist and work as a writer for several publications and companies. Besides studying and working, I frequently travel around the world. During the last semester breaks I spent time in the US, South Africa, Greece, and Belgium.
