I received an master's from New York University where I was a Henry James Fellow. I have received a grant to travel to Poland and the Czech Republic to write poems about the Holocaust. The poem in Aspeers is a romantic byproduct of that sojourn. I have toured Estonia, Poland and Austria performing my poetry. As well, I recorded two tracks on a CD with a European band. I have poems in The Pedestal Magazine, Hanging Loose Press, "In the Tradition" and "Aloud," to name a few. I have had poems displayed at both the Venice Biennale and the Documenta. And I recorded a poem "Ghost Town" on former RCA recording artist Steve Coleman's album "Black Science." I have written book reviews for Rolling Stone, the Village Voice and Vibe, too.
