I studied American studies in Leipzig, Germany and Cornell University, Ithaca (NY) until 2006. I am an Assistant Lecturer at Leipzig's American studies institute since then and have completed my dissertation on Presidential Unrealities in 2012. Apart from research and administrative tasks, part of my job is teaching. In the fall semester of 2007/08 I taught the first year of the iCAN/aspeers project seminar, head editing the founding issue of the journal. I have headed the creation of the following three issues as well, enjoying the privilege of working with a total of four immensely energetic and gifted editorial teams. I continue to support the aspeers project as the president of the aspeers e.V.
