Ben Hussey

Ben Hussey, a native of Cork, Ireland, completed his undergraduate studies in University College Cork in October 2017 with a BA in English and German. Ben spent one year in Leipzig University though the Erasmus programme as part of his bachelor studies, so a return to complete a Masters in American Studies somehow made perfect sense. Ben has worked in various pubs and libraries, two of the great pillars of Irish society, since he was a teenager. His interests include Irish and American literature, the music of Bob Dylan and the Band, and the comedy of Norm MacDonald. Ben hopes to return to Ireland following his Masters. His research interests include the Irish diaspora in America, as well as their portrayal and role in American popular culture.
