About Konstantin Butz

Konstantin Butz studied American Studies and Cultural Studies at the University of Bremen and at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. In 2007 he received his MA degree with a thesis entitled “Suburban Home - Intersektionale Privilegierung im kalifornischen Hardcorepunk und seinen Lyrics.” He recently started working on his dissertation project on Californian youth subcultures and their transatlantic influence at the chair of Professor Dr Sabine Broeck at the University of Bremen. Konstantin’s main interests include (un-)popular music and literature, American sports, travelling, and an occasional ride on the skateboard.
