aspeers is happy to see Mirko Martin, who contributed art for the third issue of aspeers, participate and win in a photography contest by the Berlin art museum C/O, as the German daily newspaper Sueddeutsche recently reported. In an interview on the newspaper's website, Mirko Martin discusses photographs from his series L.A. Crash, how they blend 'reality' and 'fiction,' and his fascination with Los Angeles in general.

Over a year earlier, pictures from this series were also featured in the third issue of aspeers as part of that issue's topic "Crime and America" (for more information, see the introduction to issue 3).
