After her A-levels, Lisa-Marie spent a year abroad as an Aupair in Taplow, UK, an experience that sparked her interest in British culture and literature. In 2021, she began her BA in British Studies at Leipzig University, which she graduated from in 2024, writing about masculinities in Alice Oseman's comic book series Heartstopper. In the same year, she enrolled in Leipzig's MA Global British Studies program, and since October 2025, she has been pursuing a double master's degree in GBS and American Studies. With a strong focus on literary and cultural studies, Lisa is currently, as of February 2026, working on her first master's thesis, examining British HIV/AIDS post-crisis narratives through the lenses of hauntology and queer memory; a newly found academic interest she is eager to develop further in her future studies.
When she is not immersed in uni work, Lisa is most often found wandering through bookshops, working behind the scenes at a small private theatre in Magdeburg, or returning once more to masculinities in The Boys in the Band (a special interest she discovered throughout her BA), endlessly analysing its stage and screen versions.
