Saed Tajibaev

Saed Tajibaev is a multidisciplinary visual artist working at the junction of graphic design, illustration, animation, and photography. His practice mainly reflects his identity, gender, and political contexts through visual media. Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia, from childhood, he started creating characters out of wallpaper patterns before going to sleep. Since 2022, after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, he started his emigration, which deeply influenced his way of artistic expression: More and more, he embraced the themes of home and self-identification. This informs his artistic expression with storytelling from performance directing; as an animator, Saed creates dynamic expressive visuals that balance stylization with experimentation.
