Jana Luckhardt

After earning a BA in American, British and Canadian Studies from Philipps-Universität Marburg, Jana is not yet fed up with academia. Validated in her choice of study during a semester abroad at Macalester College, MN, and an internship at the German-American Institute Tübingen, they now pursue their academic aspirations in ASL's graduate program. Her research interests center around queerness, the body, and notions and negotiations of (non-)normativity—with a particular focus on what sits at the intersection thereof. They are thrilled to develop those interests further during their MA and, ideally, in future pursuit of a PhD. Outside of academia, Jana puts her literature degree to good use as a prolific fanfiction writer and occasional poet, strives towards her Ju-Jutsu black belt, and finds joy in all things whimsical, campy, and horrific.
