Robert Hayes II

Robert was born in Columbus, Ohio, and earned his bachelor's degree in English at The Ohio State University (OSU). While working in human resources, he completed a master's degree in Human Resource Management, also at OSU. Before starting his MA in American Studies at the University of Leipzig in 2024, he worked as an HR Director for a company specializing in cryogenic and magnetic measurement technology, and later as the Senior Learning and Development Analyst for a durable medical equipment provider. His research interests include 21^st-century labor dynamics as well as contemporary politics, literature, and film. He is particularly interested in fostering workplace equality and contributing to scholarship on how intersectional themes influence both political discourse and artistic expression. Outside of academia, he enjoys nature, cooking, and—to the delight (or dismay) of others—singing.
