Michael Meister

Michael Meister is a second-year student of the European Joint Master's Programme in English and American Studies at the University of Graz currently completing his mandatory mobility semester at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Focusing in American Literary and Cultural Studies, his main interests lie in ecocritical and postcolonial literatures as well as intermedial phenomena in contemporary culture. In his research he aims to explore the impact of media selection and medium-specifities on the represenation of public figures and events. He hopes to pursue a carrer in teaching on the upper-secondary or university level. Apart from being an avid reader and concert attendee, Meister enjoys chasing discs and making international friends playing Ultmate Frisbee.
