Richard Aude

After finishing his Bachelor in Digital Humanities, Richard Aude decided to change his field to a major extent and enrolled for the MA in American Studies at the university of Leipzig in 2021.

There he found out that engaging with Theory can actually be incredibly rewarding. His interest in Theory was awakened by Mark Fisher's writings on Capitalist Realism and Hauntology, but the MA already turned out to be deeply enriching for his future aspirations in academia and beyond. Some of Richard's further interests are theories about trauma and perceptions of the Real, affect theory and ecocriticism.

Apart from university, Richard is also an amateur DJ and avid enjoyer of all sorts of electronic music, most prominently French House music from 1996 to 2005.
