Alexander Licznerski

It was July 5th, 2019 on a sunny afternoon on one of Germany’s famous autobahns when I received the mail that was supposed to change my life. I was accepted to the American Studies MA program in Leipzig after completing my Bachelor’s of Arts at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena in English and American Studies. I am pleased about the opportunity to widen my knowledge about American culture, history, and society. Inspired by my bachelor’s thesis, my main, yet still evolving, academic interests are ecocriticism, animal studies, and popular culture. Most of my spare time I share with my partner, our two old cats, and my fascination for music, both listening to and creating it.
