Josef Valle

In 2019, I received a BA in American history from Princeton University. My undergraduate work largely focused on the political dimensions of American slavery in the nineteenth century. I have come to Leipzig on a Fulbright grant to learn more about contemporary American culture and German-American relations. After I finish at Leipzig, I plan to return to the United States and pursue one of three options: go to law school and sell my soul for a lot of money, enter the Foreign Service and apply my newfound knowledge for America’s benefit, or find a job in publishing and sell my soul for not-a-lot of money.
