Renee de Groot

Renee de Groot recently graduated from the American studies master’s program at the University of Amsterdam and is currently finishing her master’s in English literature at the same university. Her research has focused on the history and literature of the American South and the Civil War, including research on William Faulkner, the Southern Agrarians, and William Styron. De Groot’s paper in this journal draws on her 2016 MA thesis “The Rewritten War: Alternate Histories of the American Civil War.”
