For Felix Haase, North American culture and history have always been fascinating topics. During his studies, he has concentrated mainly on the literature commonly associated with American Romanticism and Postmodernism. His more recent interests include interdisciplinary approaches, for example the intersections between literature and science or literature and sociology. The latter area will be the focus of his upcoming master’s thesis, which will deal with the treatment of surveillance in postmodern literature. If everything goes according to plan, Haase will go on intensifying his research and write a doctorate thesis. While books are his favorite medium, he also spends a lot of time devouring other art forms like music or TV shows (figuratively) and home made meals (literally). Additionally, he likes to play basketball, enjoys hiking in Thuringia, and traveling around the world.
