I recently finished my undergraduate degree in American Studies at the University of Leipzig with a thesis on “Diplomacy, Development and Drones- America’s Contradictory Agenda?”, investigating the intersection between the Department of State, Department of Defense and the United States Agency for International Development with regards to Foreign Policy after September 11. I was part of the Bachelor Plus program, which means that I spent my third year of undergraduate studies at the Global Leadership Center (GLC) at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. There, I took classes in Political Science and conducted research with the GLC that focused on transatlantic relations and the impact of the Arabic Spring on the US Military. Academically, I am interested in transatlantic and international relations, political movements, and the role of gender in politics. I am also a student assistant at the Public Relations Office of Leipzig University, which has recently made me consider a career in communication. Other possible options after completing the MA are pursuing a PhD or working for an IGO.
