I received my BA in Comparative Literature from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich in 2013 with a minor in political science. Because I wanted to broaden my MA by adding cultural studies I continued with American Studies in Leipzig.
I am passionate about translation and contemporary literature. My research interests so far have focused on the relationship between trauma and narrative and the representations of war in literature. Those foci have elicited my interest in how writers deal with dislocation, with disrupted memoirs and the feeling of (not-)belonging.
