2012 Editorial Team Starts Work on the Fifth Issue of aspeers
Posted October 24th, 2011 by Sevara Panaspeers, the first and currently only peer-reviewed journal for MA-level American studies scholars in Europe, has welcomed a new editorial team headed by Florian Bast, general editor of the fifth issue of aspeers (2012). The editorial team is inviting fellow graduate students to reflect on the diverse roles and meanings of "American Food Cultures."

Posted October 13th, 2011 by Stefan Schubertaspeers is happy to see Mirko Martin, who contributed art for the third issue of aspeers, participate and win in a photography contest by the Berlin art museum C/O, as the German daily newspaper Sueddeutsche recently reported. In an interview on the newspaper's website, Mirko Martin discusses photographs from his series L.A. Crash, how they blend 'reality' and 'fiction,' and his fascination with Los Angeles in general.

The general section of the 5 (2012) issue will showcase various outstanding academic work done on the MA level of American studies at European universities. The topical section will feature academic and art submissions organized around the theme of "American Food Cultures."
