Please see http://www.aspeers.com/style for the latest guidelines on writing articles intended for submission to aspeers, including information on documenting your sources and details about a few specific deviations from the MLA rules. The changes will go into effect with the ninth issue.

The editors of aspeers 7 (2014) are proud to announce that their issue will be released on April 30th, 2014. American Studies Leipzig will host a launch ceremony at 5 pm at the lecture hall of the Bibliotheca Albertina to celebrate. You are more than welcome to join us!

Two American studies programs in Germany have recently published CfPs for upcoming graduate conferences. Both CfPs may well be seen to closely relate to "American Anxieties," the topical focus of our 7th issue. So we thought they might both be interesting to potential aspeers contributors and to graduate students of American studies in general.
In March of 2014, master students at American Studies Leipzig will host a conference focusing on "Death and Dying in American Culture."
